MLB Future Watch: Roman Anthony Baseball Cards, Boston Red Sox – The Boston Red Sox drafted Roman Anthony in the second round of the 2022 MLB Amateur Draft. This 6’2” outfielder has the kind of frame teams love. He’s been a star since he played for Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. At that time, his hardest-hit ball had an exit velocity of 94 MPH.
Anthony hit .363 with 5 home runs and 6 doubles with 22 RBI as a junior. He was named Broward County 7-A Player of the Year by the Sun Sentinel. His senior year was his best. Anthony hit .520 with 14 doubles, 10 home runs, 40 RBI with 36 runs scored. He repeated as the Player of the Year. That was a lot of heat heading into the MLB Draft.
After the draft, Anthony played for two teams to finish out the season. He started in Rookie Ball and ended up in A-Ball, playing for the Salem Red Sox. His combined numbers were 4 doubles, 12 RBI, and 7 runs scored in 20 games while hitting .306.
In 2023, he played for three more teams, starting in A-Ball and ending up in AA with the Portland Sea Dogs. His combined numbers were 27 doubles, 4 triples, 14 home runs with 64 RBI with 16 stolen bases. He also had a stellar .403 on-base percentage and .466 slugging percentage. It was a big year of development for this Red Sox top prospect.
In 2024, Anthony played for the Portland Sea Dogs to start the season and AAA for the Worcester Red Sox. His combined numbers were impressive. He had 20 doubles, 3 triples, 15 home runs, 45 RBI with 16 stolen bases and a .367 on-base percentage. Baseball America rated him the top prospect in baseball.
Anthony is currently 20 years old. He’s a big man who can run and hit for power. In a four-hit effort this season, he was hitting the ball to all fields and showed patience at the plate.

One card to get is Anthony’s 2023 Bowman Draft. It’s a nice card showing him at the plate in his Worcester Red Sox uniform.
Another card to get is his 2024 Bowman Chrome Prospects Purple Shimmer Refractor. This card has a great design already and the added purple makes it stand out. Another nice card of him in his batting stance.
One more to add is his 2024 Bowman. It’s a clean design, and it shows him getting ready to step into the batter’s box. Anthony is a must-collect.
